The road to completion is long and winding, and even though I’ve felt for a while now that I’m getting close to the end with my Scandinavian Romance Until We Lay, I’m still not quite there. I’ve been listening to the text with the help of Acapela Box, a text-to-speech site that I used to proof my translations before I sorted out the TTS in Word. They have lots of different voices and by listening to Palle’s chapters in a man’s voice and Lainey’s chapters in a woman’s voice it’s easier to work on their respective character development. It’s nice to give them a voice, as well. I can see them pretty clearly, but I don’t know exactly what they sound like.
There are still some issues, and I haven’t had a lot of time to spend on my own writing this week, so progress is slow, but I’ll get there in the end. I’ve decided that if I haven’t managed to pull this story together by the end of this month, I’m going to shelf it and start writing book 2 of the series. Perhaps that is the incentive that I need. I so want this story to work, after all the effort I put into it. But it should have been finished in December, and I think six months is enough of an extension. If it’s not done by the 1st of July, I’m moving on! (To Hold On!)
